Error caused by Edge reading from a Web Site

My energy company is OVO and I login to read bills, enter information etc. I am using primarily Edge as part of my Office 365 package by subs (sorry it is no Copilot Office 365) running under Windows 11 Pro 25H2 OS build 26200.7462). When I go to download a bill in PDF I get this error messages. (I did report to OVO customer support).: {"message":"OAuth plugin - No refresh_token present"}
I then tried using Google Chrome no such problem. I can only conclude this is a problem with Edge interacting with their web site. May be I need to change something on MS Edge. Haven't seen this before only happening recently. So often these days the updates to Win 11 seem to break things such as drivers! So maybe something has change due to an update. And maybe I need to change or adjust Edge settings. Help appreciated. Thanks

    Hello,

    The error text points to an OAuth flow where the refresh token cookie is not being stored or sent in Edge. That often happens when tracking prevention or third-party cookies are blocked for that site.

    Open the OVO site in Edge. Click the lock icon next to the address bar and choose Permissions for this site. Turn Tracking prevention to Off for this site. Go to Cookies and site data in the same page and allow third-party cookies for the site.

    Close the permissions tab, then refresh the OVO page, sign out, sign back in, and try downloading the PDF again. This change only applies to OVO, not to other sites.

    If it still fails, tell me exactly what you see after those steps and we will take the next step together.

    It seems that you are experiencing an issue with Microsoft Edge when trying to download a PDF bill from your energy company's website. The error message you received, "OAuth plugin - No refresh_token present," suggests that there may be a problem with the authentication process in Edge when interacting with the OVO website.

    Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, corrupted cache or cookies can cause issues with authentication. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.
    2. Disable Extensions: If you have any extensions installed in Edge, try disabling them to see if one of them is causing the issue.
    3. Check Edge Settings: Ensure that your Edge settings allow for cookies and site data, as this can affect authentication.
    4. Update Edge: Make sure that you are using the latest version of Microsoft Edge. Updates can fix bugs and improve compatibility with websites.
    5. Try InPrivate Mode: Open Edge in InPrivate mode and try logging in to see if the issue persists. This mode does not use the cache or cookies from your regular browsing session.

    If the problem continues, it may be worth checking if there are any known issues with Edge that could be affecting its performance with specific websites. You might also want to report this issue to Microsoft if it seems to be a bug.
