I have google authenticator app registered with o365, when accepting an invite MS authenticator seems forced.

I have Google authenticator as MFA on office365

When accepting an invite from a parter I am now unable to complete this as MS authenticator seems to be forced. Is this a new policy?

This seems to be the case, as there is no other option.

    • What type of account are you using? 
    • Was the invitation you received to join another organization or school as a guest user? 

    If the invitation is from another organization or school, it's possible that they’ve set up a policy that requires MFA for guest accounts. This is a common security measure to protect their environment.

    I also recommend checking with the IT administrator of the organization that invited you. They can confirm whether MFA is required for guest access under their policy.
